Welcome to AR Thangakottai. By making a reservation or staying at our Yelagiri Hills resort, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Reservations & Booking
- Advance Payment: All room and venue reservations must be guaranteed with a 100% advance payment or as specified during the booking process.
- Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the advance payment and issuance of a confirmation email or SMS.
- Rates & Taxes: Room rates are strictly per room, per night. Government taxes (GST) apply as per current regulations and are subject to change without prior notice.
2. Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in Time: 12:00 PM (Noon).
- Check-out Time: 11:00 AM.
- Early/Late Access: Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Identification: For security and legal compliance, all adult guests must present a valid, government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License) upon check-in. Foreign nationals must present a valid passport and visa.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Our cancellation policy varies based on the booking type, season, and promotions. The standard policy (unless otherwise stated during booking) is:
- Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the arrival date: Full refund (minus a nominal processing fee).
- Cancellations made within 3 to 7 days of arrival: 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival, or in case of a No-Show: No refund will be issued.
4. Resort Property Rules
To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, we strictly enforce the following rules:
- Noise Curfew: Please respect the tranquility of Yelagiri Hills. Loud music and excessive noise are strictly prohibited after 10:00 PM in all outdoor and room areas.
- Smoking Policy: All indoor areas, including guest rooms and enclosed banquets, are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
- Alcohol: Consumption of alcohol in common resort areas (lobby, walkways) is not permitted unless in designated bar/dining zones or within private rooms.
- Outside Food & Beverage: For hygiene and safety reasons, large quantities of outside catered food are not allowed unless explicitly approved for an event.
5. Swimming Pool Regulations
- Timings: Use of our 128ft swimming pool is restricted to designated operational hours (typically 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM).
- Attire: Proper nylon/lycra swimwear is mandatory. Street clothes are not allowed in the pool.
- Children: Minors under 16 years must be accompanied and actively supervised by an adult guardian at all times.
- Safety: Diving, running on the pool deck, and bringing glass containers to the pool area are strictly prohibited. Guests use the pool at their own risk.
6. Occupancy & Extra Guests
Room rates are based on standard occupancy levels (usually two adults per room). Bringing extra guests beyond the confirmed booking without prior registration is not permitted. Extra mattresses/beds will be provided for additional registered guests at the applicable supplementary rate.
7. Event & Banquet Booking Terms
- Venue Usage: Event spaces are allocated for the specific time frame booked. Overstaying may incur hourly charges.
- Decorations: Sticking, nailing, or altering venue walls/fixtures is strictly prohibited. All third-party decorators must coordinate with resort management prior to setup.
- Volume Limits: DJ and sound system volumes must be kept within acceptable limits as per local law enforcement guidelines.
- Cleanup: Event organizers are responsible for the removal of major props and materials post-event.
8. Damage & Liability
Guests are expected to treat the resort's property with care. Any damage to rooms, furnishings, fixtures, or public areas caused by a guest or their invitees will be charged to the registered guest's account. AR Thangakottai reserves the right to determine the replacement or repair cost.
9. Loss of Personal Property
AR Thangakottai provides electronic safes in guest rooms for securing valuables. The management accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal items, cash, jewelry, electronics, or vehicles parked on the premises.
10. Pet Policy
While we love animals, strictly no pets are allowed within the resort premises or guest rooms to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests.
11. Force Majeure
AR Thangakottai shall not be held liable for failure to provide services due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government mandates, pandemics, power outages, or water shortages. In such events, we will attempt to offer an alternate date or a partial credit, but full refunds are not guaranteed.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the state of Tamil Nadu. Any disputes arising out of your stay or events at the resort shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts in Vellore/Tirupattur district.
